>> At a squat rack, get into the athletic stance and, position the bar across the upper back.
>> Your chest should be out and the back should be tight.
>> Place weight on your heels and then gradually bend your knees through a 90 degrees angle.
>> Now, stand up until your knees are above your feet.
>> Repeat the above process.
4. Step-Ups
The Step up exercise is another great way to build powerful muscles for high vertical jumping.
>> Get a box or a chair that is about 1.5 feet in height.
>> Begin with a standing position.
>> Step up onto the box and then step back down.
>> Repeat this procedure plenty of times with each leg.
This will build up your quadriceps which will ultimately help you in leaping higher.
